A deeper look at our WAYWARD SOULS cover art 👀

WAYWARD SOULS has now been out in the US for three days! To celebrate, let’s take a deeper look at the sequel art to our award-winning STRANGE BEASTS cover, both by Zach Meyer.

  1. As you can see, we kept the skull motif from book one, and the eye sockets might be my favorite part. Just a casual bird lounging within, the brow made from feathers (key part of the novel), and a mushroom doubling as a candle representing a pupil. So meta.

  2. Our beloved Hel Moriarty! She is mere centimeters on the actual cover, but look at the detail! I only wish we could see her red necktie.

  4. This gives me chills. Again, this is so small on the book cover, but look at the detail! The ripples of the mushroom! The mystical third eye! And can we all

    swoon at what I’m guessing would be the library of Sam’s dreams (nightmares?), with a massive door that leads … to where, you might wonder? And the train track that serves as a hairline above.
